This place is AWFUL. A couple months back, I would have rated very differently. They have since changed management and staff. The food is now flavorless. My husband order a ceviche and lomo saltado. As soon as I tried the ceviche, I spit it out. I am Peruvian, so I know a good ceviche. It was disgusting. The lomo was dry and had no taste. Will NOT be returning! Such a disappointment.
Not at all what I remembered. Came here last night with my sister to get some chicken, yucas, and tres leches (we are Peruvian). The chicken was alright, the yuca wasn't our favorite, we like them a little extra fried and these were very mushy inside and slightly crispy on the outside. THE TRES LECHES WAS A NIGHTMARE. We really wanted crema volteada (flan) and they were out so we opted for the tres leches and when we got home the cake was HARD and barley any milk soaked in and it was covered in a creamy whipping that looked they had just poured it over to make it look wet but even the CHERRY ON TOP WAS HARD. Honestly, I'm not one to complain much and don't ever speak up if there's small issues but this was a huge disappointment. Also, they charge and extra $0.25 per sauce after only giving you 4 yellow and 4 green. We love our sauce and they did hook us up there but that's why Guapos is still winning for us. This restaurant has lots of potential if they get the food right! (I ate here 3/4 years ago and it was great, not sure what changed)
I have always drove past this place but never came in. Today after my co-workers brought in Peruvian chicken, taunted me and didn't share, I decided to finally try this spot out. I ordered the 1/4 chicken. It was a nice size and flavorful and came with 2 sides. We also had the Firebrick bowl and chicken quesadilla. Both of those tasted good but we found numerous bones and gristle in the shredded chicken. Yuck! The yucca fries were served cold and when I asked for extra sauces I was charged $.25 each. This is fine but when I saw the tiny containers that held approximately 1 tablespoon of sauce I asked for more. Come to find out the itty bitty containers were almost empty and contained  maybe a teaspoon of sauce not even enough to dip a whole yucca fry. My 10 year old went to the counter to ask for salsa and was ignored. We will not be coming back.
