A very nice atmosphere. They also are a fishmonger so you could see the fresh fish. We came in the afternoon after a show a few blocks away. The service was excellent. we ordered scallops and bread as appetizers and were both delicious. The halibut fish and chips and tuna entree were ok, but not our favorites.

Having not visited this restaurant in almost 20. years, I decided to take my husband here on a Saturday night after work. The restaurant did not disappoint my memory of it. Relaxed but refined ....a perfect venue for a calm weekend meal. The food was...as I remembered it . excellent. We started with the smoked haddock croquettes and the fish soup. The croquettes were perfect, straight from the oven, light and flavourful the soup was superb, great flavour and not overly salty. Then for the mains, the grilled fish platter and the mackerel fillets. The platter was exactly the right size for one, the prawns perfectly cooked, the fish delicious. The mackerel was lovely, just slightly too dry for my taste, but still wonderful. Two lovely desserts rounded the evening off perfectly. However one slightly sour note, the waiter made a disparaging comment when the bill was presented. I had booked via an app and was entitled to a 30% food discount and still paid £175 for the well deserved meal. Bittersweet taste on the delivery of the bill, as people should not be embarrassed by taking advantage of discounts offered by the restaurant. But overall, honest simple food, well prepared and well served. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Let me share a secret, I ALWAYS walk into restaurants happy, but the number of times I walk out the same or wake the next morning feeling so is vanishingly rare. Something gets in the way, an irk appears, maybe it's the price of the water, the punters on the next table, sometimes, but rarely, the food. I can fall out with the wine glasses, the unhappiness when I send the wine back, the list goes on and on... and Fishworks? None of the above. It was (as ever) just perfect. A welcome treat. Thank you. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
