I don't understand how this restaurant has so many positive reviews. My fiance and I are dinner here on our last night in Iceland, and it was easily the worst meal of the trip. We got the tasting menu and after each course was served it was 15-20 minutes until we got another course. The food was nothing special, the langoustine soup didn't have any langoustine in it and when we asked about it we were told that since we got the tasting menu we only get the broth of the soup with some oranges in it. The entire experience was disappointing and a huge waste of money. We were there well over two hours due to the slow service.
Food was slightly spotty. The highlight of my meal, on the other hand, was my waitress, a young lady, who was super friendly and accommodating. That said, the hostess for whatever reason liked to sit people from different parties right next to each other downstairs. If you’re looking for an intimate conversation or some privacy, this would not be the place.
Amazing culinary experience here with added ambiance and very attentive staff and service. The food was exceptional, we opted for the tasting menu and the presentation and dishes were out of this world.
