The pizza is the redeeming quality of the Flying Pie Pizzeria. It's made from high quality ingredients and you definitely get what you pay for. The sauce has depth of flavor and they aren't stingy with their toppings while keeping in mind not to overwhelm the other topping or the crust. If this rating was pizza alone, they would get 5 stars. Unfortunately including the service brings the rating down. The cashier was friendly and helpful. When walking in the lobby, I noticed their tye dye shirts. I asked about the cost and was told the price but they did not have the key to the case to sell me on. Swag that you cannot have, that's a whole new category collectible. So I sat and waited for my food. My name was not called. After twenty minutes I asked about my food and lo and behold they pull it out of the warmer. It was ready almost the whole time! They handed me the food like I inconvenienced them. Very disappointing to be treated this way. While I took my food to go, the restaurant seemed pretty busy. The place seemed dingy but with all the traffic, I assumed that added to the vibe they were aiming for. I'd give them another shot due to the yummy pizza but hopefully they provide better service or they won't receive a third shot.
