I'm a big fan of Fogo de Chao, I probably eat at one Fogo de Chao or another about 6-8 times per year. I love everything it offers, the flavor of the meats are as good as any churrascaria that I've been to, and I ate at quite a few in Brazil! The salad bar at Fogo is also second to none, there's a great selection of cheese and cured meats, and the side dishes (cheese bread, polenta, fried bananas, and mashed potatoes) are all fantastic. My personal favorite meat is the Fraldinha (bottom sirloin). Also, lately I haven't seen them offering it unless you ask, but they have added a grilled Brazilian cheese with honey drizzled on top. It's absolutely delicious, it's charred on the outside, melty and chewy on the inside. Ask for it if you don't see it! Another tip, if there's any meat you are looking for, ask your server to bring it out, even if it's not ready, they will fire it up for you! As it relates to this specific location, my main feedback is they need to be a little more consistent. I've been here so many times that I've experienced 3 star trips and 5 star trips. On the 3 star trips, the meats haven't been as tender or flavorful as usual, and the selection seems limited.  They'll bring out the same bacon wrapped sirloin and chicken 3 times for every one time you see the cut you want. Same goes for the sides, sometimes the cheese bread doesn't taste as fresh or as fluffy and cheesy. The opposite goes for the 5 star trips. So just looking for a little more consistency from this location.
We had a reservation for a Thursday evening, the ambiance was quiet and the lighting is darker than a normal restaurant.  Our table was right next to the salad bar which had delicious options from a variety of salads, dressings, beans, breads, and vegetables.   Don't fill up on this just yet though! The best is to come once you flip that cardboard coin onto it's green side. Green means = keep the meat coming Red means = I'm full please don't tempt me anymore Our server was very sweet and somewhat shy, we appreciate him for helping the night run smooth.  We were celebrating a birthday and the manager came over to our table to recommend a bottle of wine. We ended up buying 2 bottles because it was pretty tasty.  They serve mash potatoes on your table before the meat starts to appear.  Don't get full too fast! The top sirloin was delicious by the way. The meats are seasoned very well so just be careful if you can't eat too much sodium.   I will definitely be coming back to visit!!
Initially I was excited to try Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse but after waiting for 45 minutes after we had reservations for 2 weeks in advance I quickly lost interest.  If it was not my daughters graduation dinner I would have left.  The hostess staff was very rude and appeared not to care that I was getting pissed off because of the the delay.  So this placed was doomed to get a very poor rating.  I have been to many Brazilian BBQ places and this one really sucked.  The meat was extremely salty and the selection was horrible.  Additionally,  the staff walked around offering things like Brazilian drinks and shrimp cocktails.   They omitted the fact that these offerings cost extra even though we were having the all you can eat BBQ.  I really expected a lot more from a downtown Los Angeles fancy place.  I forgot to mention that the BBQ was $62 dollars per person.  So in the end this place really SUCKS.  Avoid this place. I would have liked to enjoy the evening  at a food truck with LA personality and tasty food rather than wasting hard earned money at this place.
