You can always degust perfectly cooked rack of lamb, asparagus risotto and scallops at this restaurant. If hungry, come here for tasty chocolate soufflés, ice cream and parfait. You will hardly forget good house wine, beer or Merlot that you can order. Fricska has great espresso or delicious lemonade among its drinks.

Delicious food, great wine pairings, beautifully decorated space. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go again.
If you are a meat lover that's a great place to go as you will find a wide selection. But also fish is on the menu. Had three different starters which were all good, tried different meats. The Cote de Beouf was not sooo soft but the taste good. Chocolate souffle as dessert very delicious. Atmosphere is really nice, a bit loud when all tables are filled. Service is friendly. So really recommended, especially to all meat lovers!
This may have been the best meal I’ve had in my life. I found Fricska on Anthony Bourdain’s website, Parts Unknown, and was able to make a reservation one day in advance. Their dishes are classic Hungarian with an Italian twist, and the menu changes daily. I started with a split pea soup with duck ravioli, which was fresh and tasty (speaking as someone who doesn’t love peas!). The rack of lamb was perhaps the best dish I’ve ever eaten (very tender and flavorful), and the chocolate souffle was similarly incredible. All dishes were also beautifully plated. The servers were kind and made recommendations, and while eating alone, I felt very well taken care of. This is an absolute must if eating in Budapest!
