My family and I had a nice meal here last february. Probably one of the best restaurants to dine in the area. All of the dishes we ordered were really good, I really liked the pasta, nice beer, and the interior design looked good too. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the first night we tried to eat there, the hostess asked us if we were staying at Santa Hotel (we stayed at Rudolf) and if we had booked a table (we hadn't) so she said we couldn't eat there, though the restaurant was completely empty at that time. The next day we tried again and curiously there was the same hostess, again she asked if we had booked (we hadn't), she doubted but finally gave us a table; again the restaurant was completely empty. It was kinda weird she acted like that but aside from that detail the rest went well. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Delish finnish food, affordable prices atleast during summer season. Fast and great service and nice facilities. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €35–40

Restaurant Gaissa delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. This is modern Lappish cuisine done right. The menu is focused, confident, and well-curated. Every dish we tried was precise and full of character. The reindeer with chanterelle pasta was rich and comforting, perfectly balanced by the creamy sauce. The traditional sautéed reindeer stood out for its tenderness and depth of flavor. Pure Lapland on a plate. The whitefish main was cooked spot on, with clean flavors and a beautiful sauce that did not overpower the fish. Even the escargot felt thoughtful and well-executed. Portions were generous without being heavy. Presentation was elegant but honest. You could clearly taste the quality of the ingredients and the care in preparation. The interior is warm, modern, and stylish. Cozy without feeling cramped. It creates the right mood for a relaxed but elevated dinner. The service was excellent. Friendly, professional, and attentive. Dishes arrived at a good pace, explanations were clear, and recommendations were spot on. No waiting issues at all. Everything worked together seamlessly. Food, atmosphere, and service were fully aligned. A clear 5 out of 5. One of the best dining experiences in Rovaniemi. Highly recommended if you want authentic Lapland flavors with a modern touch.
