If you love fresh Scottish seafood, this place is a must. The atmosphere is surprisingly cosy and the staff will make you welcome immediately. The selection of dishes never disappoints, with each dish prepared to an incredibly high standard to perfectly complement every flavour. Michelin recommended and it shows! You will not be disappointed by a visit here.
When you walk into this city centre basement you are transformed. Literally submerged into this seafood experience, like no where else that I have ever experienced. My partner and I decided to have an aperitif in the bar, the chili and cucumber margarita blew my mind, so fresh and creative with attention to detail with the chili rim. An amazing start. We are then led to our table and swiftly given canapes to start- a small and effective touch. I opted for the tartare to start and lemon sole for main- the dishes are so simple yet so effective, it is amazing how a piece of simply grilled sole is enough to satisfy without any fuss. I would also like to mention how lovely our waitress was, with a great connection to the resturant and the owner. A story like this shows that the chef not only looks after his produce but his staff aswell. Definitely one to recommend.
Just had pre theatre menu at Gamba superb value for first class food will definitely return and would highly recommend.
