I ordered a breakfast burrito with beans, cheese & eggs. That's it. Stood in line. Placed my order. Very straight forward, very little interaction with the kitchen staff. It came with over-cooked, dry eggs & the beans were cold, they charged me $6.99 plus an extra 75 cents (for what?? I didnt get avocado and i didnt order the burrito with meat....what cost an extra 75 cents??). To top it off, the kitchen staff called me a racial slur to my face (THEY CALLED ME A GRINGA TO MY FACE) and had an attitude- why? Because I paid $9 for a poorly prepared burrito, and gave them my business? Because i chose to walk in and eat there as a white woman? Do they not appreciate or want business from white people? We are locals & these people are clearly disrespectful & rude. We were recommended to come here by a friend at Trader Joe's. We will make sure he knows how disrespectfully I was treated and how bad the food was. Never coming here again. All there is in Santa Paula is Mexican food- there are plenty of other places- you are not special. In fact- you need a lot of improvement. I expect that kind of slang in Mexico because, in Mexico, I AM a foreigner. I will not be called that in my native country that I was born and raised in and the community that we live in and serve. All of this was completely unprovoked or warranted. Do better.

I used to love this place when Victor and Maria had it. I don't know if it was fluke but the tamales we got this year for Christmas had so little meat and way too much masa. Rice very dry and beans just ok, overall dissappointed.  It was very busy so people seem to still go but not the same.
