The food they serve may not look as "futuristic", but taste wise they score much better. The service here was amazing. Highly recommend the duck and the lemon cake with creme fraiche Panna cotta.
Waited months to get reservations and well, it was so worth the wait! Gary Danko does it right. From the moment you enter the restaurant you can leave all your worries at the door because the attentive and professional staff will take care of everything for you. We had an early valentines dinner and it was one of the most amazing meals of my life. We ordered the Prix Fix menu and it was divine. Each dish receives so much thought and is modern with hints of classic French cuisine. What really blew me away was the wine pairings selected by the sommelier. The pairings were unconventional, mouth watering and complemented the dishes in a way that made me savor every sip. Not to forget the exquisite cheese selection. If you're a cheese lover like me, you will be in cheese heaven. Thank you Gary Danko, Bravo!
Been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally have! My bf made a reservation to go on my birthday and no regrets at all!! This place may be for tourists but don't let that fool you. Our reservation was for 8 but we came in about 10 mins earlier and we were able to sit at the bar to start off with drinks. I had a bouquet of flowers and our sever had asked if I wanted to put it in their fridge. Apparently they have a fridge for flowers ! How amazing is that. Their service is spectacular and I cannot make a single complaint. FOOD: So they have a 5 course tasting menu for $134 or you can choose anything on their menu for the same price. You may opt for 3 or 4 courses as well. We chose to choose our own 5 courses that way we can try more things. APPETIZERS: Risotto (5/5) it included shrimp and crab with mixed vegetables and it was cooked to perfection. Drool!!' Seared ahi tuna (4/5) presentation for this was on point and don't get me wrong it was good and all. But it doesn't stand out from other places. The lemon soy was amazing though! I would skip the ahi next time and try their glazed oysters ! FIRST COURSE: Roasted main lobster (5/5) hands down the best lobster I had. With potato pureee, blood orange and basil. YUM. must get !! SECOND COURSE: Seared filet of beef (4/5) I loved how they presented this but wasn't really a big fan of the sauce and their blue cheese. It definitely has a sweet side to the sauce and mixed with meat? Not my cup of tea. Herb crusted loin of lamb (5/5) the lamb was juicy and tender topped on glazed carrots. THIRD COURSE: A selection of farmhouse and artisanal cheeses. You can't go wrong with this if you love cheeses they have all kinds and you can choose up to 4. Includes bread and grapes. Nicely paired with wine! DESSERT: Lemon soufflé cake with panna cotta (5/5) not the traditional soufflé cake but more of the pans cotta texture. Delicious and amazing flavors ! Flambeed pineapple with coconut tres leches cake (4/5) $6 extra. They cook this right in front of you with the sugar, butter, and caramelized sauce then prepare the plate right there.   And to top that off, happy birthday cake on the house with mini desserts at the end. We were so stuffed by the end.
