My friend and I came to visit SF on a food trip and Gary dankos was our last stop. It did not disappoint. The food was transcending. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the chefs are super talented. Worth every cent. I also have some food restrictions and they were able to accommodate. I have had restaurants turn me away so it made me feel so welcome that they were willing to accommodate. I will be back with my husband next year! Thank you again!

Wonderful service, the food was impeccable and the drinks were very yummy and sophisticated. The food courses came fairly quickly, which I wasn't quite used to and felt a tad rushed. However, I will admit that perhaps that's how service SHOULD be. Also, the difference between attentive and rushed can be a fine line. Anyway, I could definitely get used to the attention. It felt like they had one person waiting on each table!

My husband and I had planned to come here in April 2020 but obviously had to cancel bc of lockdown. 2 kids later and we finally got to have our night out, and boy did it live up to the hype. The service was wonderful. There were wait staff for every individual aspect of the meal and everyone was kind and friendly. Our server gave great recommendations, and our meal was sublime. We did the four course meal with a wine pairing. The lobster risotto was luscious, my husband loved his salmon dish and my scallops were perfectly cooked. The duck dish was perfect, in particular the duck hash was heavenly, but even the celery root puree and braised endive were perfection. My husband loved his lamb dish and his trio of creme brulee. I finished with the butter cake, which was as rich as you'd expect. Each wine pairing was amazing and really did compliment the food. We were surprised to have the additions of a soup course, bread, a birthday dessert, and a tray of mini desserts added onto the meal on the house. They really took my husband's gluten sensitivity into account and brought him his own bread and dessert tray at the end. We were both stuffed but had the best time and really enjoyed ourselves. DEFINITELY WORTH THE PRICE! It was an experience I won't soon forget. Thank you for a wonderful evening, from two exhausted parents.
