In case the rain took you by surprise during the promenade around Domkyrkoforum, stop by this restaurant. Ignore other places, discover the Italian menu at Gattostretto. To taste perfectly cooked tortellini, salads and entrecote is a really good idea. Do not leave without enjoying good panna cotta, tiramisu and che. It's a must to try delicious wine or good liqueur when visiting this place. Great espresso is the right choice.
The great location of this spot makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. Imagine a combination of tasty dishes and the hospitable staff, this is exactly what this restaurant offers. When I visited Gattostretto a few years ago, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. When I was there again a few weeks ago, the quality was worse. The sirloin steak was of a rather low quality and had a hint of fur flavor and the cooked radishes were not properly cleaned. The sauce was nice and so were the potatoes. But the dish as a whole was served too cold. The food must have been left in the kitchen for quite some time before it was brought out to us. The red wine was served at the restaurant's room temperature – around 25 degrees, I would guess. A wine cooler would have been desirable. In addition, the wine was placed in a cabinet right where I was sitting, so I had to repeatedly put my husband on my back so that the staff could access the wine bottles. It made it difficult to really relax properly. Overall, Gattostretto offered a very mediocre experience that was not worth the money.
