Stopped in to pick up some baked goods. The place is adorable. Basically a small cafe in the middle of a gift shop. Menu is extensive - glad I had breakfast before coming in here, because everything was so appetizing. I ordered an apple sticky bun which was as delicious as it was massive. The caramel looked at the bottom of the container and I may or may not have cleaned it with my fat girl fingers. Also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a molasses spice cookie. Cookies were AMAZING, truly. Probably top 3 best cookies I've ever had. Thick, chewy, chips melting, buttery... just perfect. So glad I live 4 hours away or I'd be here weekly.
Quirky place as it doubles as both a restaurant/cafe and a shop that sells trinkets, shirts, artwork and a slew of random things. We tried their creme brulee french toast, and while it was flavorful, it was too rich for our taste buds. We had one of their omelettes as well, and for the price, it was underwhelming. The saving grace is they have good coffee and the young people working in the counter are very sweet and pleasant. The older ones manning the rest of the floor can probably learn from the younger employees as they pretty much all had sour expressions. I got the vibe they did not like us being there; like we were going to steal their merchandise, which on a side note, was over priced and not impressive. Yikes!
We like to eat breakfast here every time we are in AMI.. the cinnamon rolls are amazing and are the size of a dinner plate! This year we were a little disappointed in the blueberry muffins.. they tasted powdery. The atmosphere is adorable. This place is a can't miss when you visit AMI.
