Liked this restaurant a lot. If you are ever out in the Kewanee, Illinois area this might be a nice place to try. We were out looking for furniture at the Good's Furniture store ... and as an aside, the furniture store is a knockout. Anyway, the furniture store has its own restaurant in the basement, so we thought we'd give it a try. This basement restaurant could make it as a stand-alone establishment pretty much anywhere. Nice big roomy and rustic dining room area, full bar for those that imbibe, and a nice but limited selection of menu items. We were there for lunch and it was very good. One in our party had the Tuna Salad Sandwich (4 star good and a nice simple presentation with mounds of tuna and fresh bread), while the other in our party had the Chicken Quesadilla (5 star good with just the right amount of chicken and cheese, with a zingy dipping sauce). Both meals were substantial. We also tried the soup of the day (a 4 star Prairie Chicken Chowder kind of thing), and on the way out a Jumbo Pecan Turtle (4 star good we ate all the way home). This was a very nice place to eat and we'll visit again when we are in the area. A recommended but hard to find kind of place.
The wait staff is very rude and not inviting at all. I'd rather get my food to go than sit there and eat it. The food is amazing but a rude wait staff can ruin a nice place to eat!
