Well I'm very sorry to report this and so disappointed I'll take you through the whole experience We had reservations for 7.45 pm this past Sunday I'm a big fan so was so looking forward to it I checked the day before and was told to come a little early to check in and could have a cocktail at the bar I arrived at 7.15 and was checked in by the front desk and lead to the cocktails lounge to wait Had to wait around 15 mins for the cocktail but no worries as the place was great Had another cocktail as we still hadn't been seated At 8.45 we asked when out table would be ready the waitress said I'll get you seated shortly Well after another 15 mins 9pm we asked again and got seated Ok I can forgive the late seating as we are at Steak and it's all about the food We ordered the Scotch egg wrapped in Duck sausage and it was awesome (Ok now this is why we are here ) We ordered the signature Beef Wellington baby carrots truffle fries and a nice BTL of Cab The beef should come Med Rare it was medium well and the steak wasn't wrapped in the Mushroom Duxelles and Palma Ham How can this be as this is Gordon Ramsey's Steak We pointed this out to the waitress and she said oh and walked away She bought out the fries that she forgot and they were cold So so disappointed after all the expectations of excellence Ok Sticky toffee pudding another signature dish was COLD When I'm paying over $400 for two I expect perfection but that much and at a Gordon Ramsey restaurant mr critical himself Very disappointed and I'm sorry Gordon you need to revisit this place yourself and kick some ass
I've been here every single time I've been in Vegas. This place definitely holds to its standard. I started watching Gordon Ramsey's tv shows a few years back and I have been dreaming to try one of his restaurants. My husband and I tried the duck foie gras, bone marrow and steak. There are so many cuts of steaks that you can choose from. We also had my mother in laws birthday party here and even though the place looked small, there are so many rooms in the back. I really loved my experience here. Will always return back.
Saturday night and I was able to have a seat in the bar area of Gordon Ramsay Steak. Beer: Pretty good selection. Noticed Ayinger Hefeweizen on tap, which I can't say I've ever seen before. That's a choice German beer so I definitely got one and enjoyed it with my steak. Bread: A plate of bread was brought to the table, Foccacia and a rustic wheat/multigrain. The butter was topped with what seemed to be a mix of pink and black sea salt. The wheat bread seemed to be lacking a chew and was bland. The Foccacia was not super oily or salty. But it has a decent flavor and fluffy quality that was nice. Steak: Got a NY Strip Steak- medium-rare. Good char and crust on the outside of the steak. A drizzle of red wine sauce, but it doesn't add much. The flavor is mostly coming from the crust, not much from the meat.  A small dab of whole-grain mustard and some scant greens lend some nuance. The texture is good, not the juiciest or most succulent piece of meat. But soft and slightly chewy. I do recommend cutting your pieces of steak properly against the grain for the best possible texture. Side: Got some Brussel sprouts on the side. Lovely browning on the exterior with an addicting crunch. And these are the baby size sprouts which makes for easier eating. Nice to munch on in-between bits of steak. It helps to break up the monotony of eating a steak. Smoked bacon and pine nuts add great complexity. I actually enjoyed the sprouts more than the steak. Dessert: After hearing that the sticky toffee pudding won the best dessert in Vegas for the past four years I'd be remiss not to try it. Lovely presentation with the ice cream shaped into a neat block with a knife nestled ontop. My waiter poured the hot melted toffee over the pudding cake. The initial pouring sinks into the cake and then you can pour the rest on for that extra indulgence. The cake is soft and sweet, a perfect conduit for the toffee sauce. The brown butter ice cream has a lovely nutty brown butter flavor. The texture of the ice cream was also unique. Soft, but firm towards the center and has a very slight chewy/sticky quality. Adding the ice cream on top of the warm cake and letting it melt was addicting. I'm not sure it is the best dessert in vegas but definitely a highlight of my time there. Overall: Gordon Ramsay Steak did not disappoint.
