Firs experience of Venezuelian food. Tasty, but VERY VERY caloric. The main plate was almost impossible to finish.By the way, a good experience.
HORRIBLY RUDE SERVICE
Grama lounge is such a cool and friendly space and I could totally see myself visiting quite often if I lived in the area. It's got very nearly drawn wall decorations and the back area is tropically themed, complete with sand. I've never had Venezuelan food, and I think my choice of order could've been better, but I would give it 3.5 stars (rounding up to 4 for the purposes of this review). I ordered the soft shell crab burger (14€) and shared a plate of tequenos (8€) and a kiwi smoothie (around 5-6€). The crab sandwich looked delicious (and super cute) when it arrived but I'm disappointed to say that I was thoroughly underwhelmed. It cost a pretty penny and actually did not have much crab; a lot of it was just breading. The fries that came with it were great, though, what with just the right amount of crisp and soft potato filling. The tequenos, which are basically Venezuelan mozzarella sticks), were delicious and I would definitely get them again. They're the perfect snack/junk food and completely hit the spot. Lastly, while I enjoyed the freshness and flavor of the kiwi shake, it was definitely difficult to drink. I think that because it was so fresh, the fruit chunks kept getting stuck in and blocking the straw. Our waiter (and also the bartender) was very friendly and certainly complemented the ambience of the restaurant; it sounds like a lot but I think he embodied a lot of what the establishment is trying to convey. I would return, but get something other than the crab sandwich.
