Only a quick update. The pub has new landlords. As of this post there was no WiFi. Card payment machine etc. Anything do do with the Internet as they have not resolved that due to Marstons cutting it off as new landlords are leasing pub. The tips the young waitresses used to get all to themselves is now shared out. How I am not sure but as long as it is for the staff aline and not landlords that's okay as the law on staff tips changed on Oct 1st 2024. If you are giving tips for the waitresses I would give them cash to put in their own pocket. They earn it. For the girls it's clothes and makeup money. Extra pocket money for them. Not tried the new menu yet but reliably informed its good. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Pan Roasted Chicken Breast with Wild Mushroom and Tarragon Sauce Sauté Potatoes, Steak Pie with Vegetables, Roast Lamb, Beer Battered Cod with Chips Mushy Peas and Tartar Sauce, Fish and Chips, Soup of the Day with Crusty Bread

I attended with a friend and had the most amazing roast pork lunch. It is a credit to the owners. How lucky are the people of this village to have this hostelry on their doorstep. Just lovely.
