My family has been going here for over 30 years. The entire staff is friendly and very responsive. The food is consistently great and they've hosted many birthdays, family get-togethers, and casual dinners there. I now see why this restaurant has so many low reviews. I always give places a few chances to improve. I came here almost 5 years ago and I thought it was ok at the time. Now Guadalajara Grill has become worse! When it comes to Mexican restaurants, I test there food through the simplest of menu items. In this case it was a burrito. If you mess up a burrito and you claim to be a Mexican restaurant it's over! I purchased a pork carnitas burrito. The meat was tender, but bland! It was definitely not authentic! I also ordered sour cream, guacamole and cheese. There was barely any cheese. So there was barely any tip! Lol ! The burrito was so small I used a credit card for scale in my picture! Lol ! I wanted a mixed meat burrito half chicken and half steak . The server tells me spoon scoop of meat will be an extra $10. I said, Whaaaat! The extra cost for meat was not even on the menu. So, I I realized she fabricated the price. She simply made the price up, off the top of her head! So would I come back to restaurant again? No time soon! I may give it one more last third try. After that 3 strikes your out if it's still bad! In all this restaurant was very disappointing. The reviews are real people. There's a reason why it never made it over 3 stars. I've had better food of of a taco truck! If you're food is really good, people from all over will always come back!!! However, not this restaurant. The owner/s should read their reviews and try to improve. I don't think they care! This business may not survive with reviews like this into the future.
