Giving 2 stars only because the hostess and other staff members were friendly. We started with wings which were ok but way overpriced. My boys had mac with bacon which was blah and somewhat flaovorless. I had their "specialty" which was grits and shrimp. They must have been out of grits as i got two bites of lumpy ass grits. Very underwhelmong. I would have gone 1 star because of the grits but like i said, staff was super nice and attentive.

The staff was so rude. I have never been so insulted in my life. The bartender was unbelievable. The couple behind us left because he was so unfriendly. Be nice customers keep you employed-  we didn't eat because of his attitude.

Super solid service, options, food and location. I was hungry after snowboarding in the vicious wind all morning and needed something to satisfy my hunger before I became hangry. I went into the village thinking i'd head to a spot i'd been to many times. As I was walking to my usual haunt I saw the sign for Gunbarrel. I decided to go check out the menu and see if it wound entice me away from my normal. It did. The menu looked great. Quite a few options at a multitude of price points. I went in and decided to sit at the bar instead of taking up a table better suited for more than just 1 person. As soon as I sat down I was greeted by the bartender. She rattled off the beers on tap for me and let me cruise through the menu while she grabbed my beer selection. She was quick to describe portion sizes for some of my appetizer inquiries. When I opted for the tacos I asked for advice between the short ribs and the tri tip. The waitress said she liked both but the tri top was her fave. I said "Sounds great. I'll take the..." and before I could get the full sentence out she said the kitchen didn't look busy so she could do 2 of each so I didn't miss out on anything. That was the perfect answer to my growling tummy. I also opted for a side of fries because I was worried the tacos would be too small to satisfy my hunger. The tacos and fries arrived and I realized I was in over my head. The tacos were plentiful - 4 small ones but all together perfect for a small meal. The fries were large and had a great crisp. I usually want more salt on all my fries and these were the first fries I wanted WAY less salt. That's actually why I didn't finish a larger portion of them. The tacos however were the home run. The tri tip was delicious and a perfect amount of meat for each portion. The short ribs however? Incredible. I would have missed out on them if the waitress hadn't done a split order for me! I would come back just for these tacos. In the summer it would be nice to sit outside but I loved sitting at the bar, against the window, and people watching in the village while dining. Greta service. Great food. Great spot. One more option for food and drinks in the village.
