This place used to be great when it was small Humble place on King. I ate there many times and was always very satisfied. I dined at the junction this evening and although the mains were lovely I felt the service was not good the atmosphere that was rich at King has not transferred over. When I first dined at habesha onking the waitress made it her priority to tell us about the hand washing custom and we were meade feel very welcome . Tonight at the junction we were sat and the waitress literally slammed a bottle of water down on on table. Both my partner and I commented on the rudeness of it. We were sat at a big window with a draft and were cold, then I noticed everyone had a jacket on. We asked to move and got a a table by the sliding door at the back of the restaurant. This turned out to be annoying as it was the way out to the toilet and not one person properly shut the door after them so my partner had to get up numerous times to close it as it left a draft. We ordered wine which we were then told later they didn't have. When the wine was brought to the table the waitress just left it down and walked away. She never opened it or asked if we would like a taste first. The place was not full but all the staff seemed in a rush. We were not asked if we enjoy our meal or experience. It's a shame really as this restaurant used to be such a gem when it was small a quaint. I would rather pay more for that experience than for them to have expanded and now seem to have lost that special thing they had.
