Terrible service! We had to take the menus from the neighboring table because no one came to the table after we were seated. After half an hour the drinks/food were taken by a not particularly friendly waiter. He took the order without comment and walked away again. The drinks were handed to us over the counter, instead of stopping by we had to get up and get them. Immediately after we finished eating, we were asked to go straight to the checkout because other guests came in and wanted food. While we were eating, guests arrived who had made reservations but wanted to sit at a specific table. The table was occupied and the person was seated somewhere else without asking or giving an explanation. When we paid and said that we had never experienced anything like that, the only answer we got was that we had already been sitting there for 1.5 years and that was his boss's requirement. He probably wasn't aware that we spent 3/4 of the time waiting for service/food. The food was ok, nothing special. We definitely won't be coming back. Hacker-Pschorr Hamburg is a Bavarian style restaurant on Lange Reihe, and it is a genuinely Bavarian experience. The menu is quite extensive with many pork dishes, sausage dishes and more (Weißwurst, Fleischkäse, Rostbratwurst of course). The quality of the food is very good, and we recommend the Bratkartoffeln over the french fries. It took a while to get the food, but we were sitting outside, enjoying the hustle and bustle of Lange Reihe, and some great beers, so it didn’t matter. The interior is very nice and when we come back we will sit inside to enjoy that as well - and come back we will!
