Hard rock is always great. But I would say it could have lost a star due to confusion.We prepaid for the gold menu and when given this menu it offered a discount on a t-shirt in the shop. I asked 4 people how I get the discount as I had prepaid for the menu and no one could answer me. The waiter even tried to hid the menu from me that stated the deal. In the shop the guy tried to tell me I had order a different menu but my prepaid ticket was called the gold menu. After a lot of running around the guy in the shop gave me the discount and apologised.

I knew better. My boyfriend knew better. However the couple we were on holiday with wanted to give Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam a shot. We originally came here for a tshirt souvenir for one of my boyfriend's work buddies (by request) and since we were already here our travel counterparts decided they wanted to eat here too. One of them has a very sensitive palate so we figured there would be plenty of options for them to choose from. Since we were all underwhelmed with the menu, every single one of us went with a burger. Mine came out okay (very pink, but I enjoy my steak rare anyway) and my boyfriend's burger was tolerable, but both of the other couple's burgers were red and they ordered theirs very well done, no pink. They sent them back and 10+ minutes later the waiter came back with new plates and asked for them to cut into it and their burgers were fine. We finished eating at different times and I found everything without flavor. People must pay for the kitschy atmosphere because the food was overpriced and disappointing. If Hard Rock is your thing, you'll probably enjoy it here. Otherwise, I'd recommend trying out other neat local spots. (50€ bill for 2 burgers, a water and a coke)
