Henry Lee's Redfern, located in the heart of Sydney, is a trendy eatery that serves up innovative fusion cuisine. The ambiance is lively and bustling, with a mix of indoor and semi-outdoor seating. The interior design is industrial chic, with exposed brick walls and high ceilings. Prices are reasonable, with most dishes around $20.
One standout dish is the Bring It On, which features aburi salmon on top of smashed avocado corn pea fritters. Another must-try is the Prince of Brighton, a toasted butter croissant filled with crab claw meat, smashed avocado, coconut lime mayo, mango, fresh chilli, togarashi, coriander, and topped with a poached egg. For drinks, they offer a variety of cocktails, soft drinks, and wines. The Taro Latte and Almond Cappuccino are popular choices.
The establishment has a pet-friendly outdoor seating area and is perfect for a Sunday brunch. The staff is friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience. However, it is recommended to make a reservation ahead of time as the place can get quite busy. Overall, Henry Lee's Redfern is a fine dining spot that offers delicious food and great service at an affordable price.
It’s been almost five years since I was last here. Service and atmosphere has dropped as you order and pay via the QR code (which is good for groups), however the food was fresh and tasty so I would definitely return. The few staff were friendly and we were able to find a car spot right away. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
Finally I found the perfect time to visit the most popular cafe in the city! Always came during weekend brunch hour and the queue is just too discouraging. Coincidentally I have time over weekday and came for lunch at about 2pm, no queue at all! Environment 5/5 Is hidden at the back of the street, so be careful if you missed it. It is not very big in there with about 25-30 seats I reckon. Comfortable environment with greens around. Service 5/5 Attentive staff guiding us to seats. We ordered via QR and the service is pretty fast Vietnamese ice coffee 5/5 This is not the most impressive one in town, but it is very close to what I usually had at Vietnamese cafe. What’s surprising is they have some flowers on it and that blend in quite well with the aroma. Fish tacos 4/5 Ever since I had fish taco at another cafe under the same group, I always come for the tacos. This is good if you like fish tacos. Japanese rice 5/5 Can’t remember the name of the dish, but this is definitely a must try fish. The fish roe on it, with the perfectly cooked omelette covering on top of the rice and some salad. Come on just take my money! Will I come back again? 5/5 Absolutely, but during weekdays not weekend Recommended dish - Vietnamese ice coffee - fish taco - Japanese fish roe rice Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
