Delicious food and friendly service. Every dish tasted fabulous. I would love to come again. The place could be very crowded during the evening, hence do remember to reserve a table if you have many people.
Authentic food and friendly staff.
I'm generally skeptical of Asian restaurants in Germany as most of them serve disappointingly bland "made-for-German tastes" food. But this restaurant opened recently in my neighborhood in Hamburg - promising authentic Cantonese cuisine and hand-made Dim Sum - so my friends and I thought we'd give it a try. All I can say is WOW! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. So what did we eat? We tried five different Dim Sum dishes: 609 - thinly-wrapped steamed dumpling with minced beef 612 - fried radish cake with Herr He special sauce 625 - steamed bun with sweet bean paste 652 - fried sticky-rice-dough dumpling with chicken and sauce 653 - fried taro-root-dough dumpling with chicken and sauce It's hard to say which was my favorite. They were all fantastic and so much better than the typical frozen Dim Sum you find at many Chinese restaurants. I would order them all again without hesitation. Our main dishes were: 205 - Crispy baked thick ribs with chili sauce 501 - Fried beans with minced pork 717 - Fried potato strips, sour and hot Again, hard to choose a favorite. The ribs were extremely satisfying with just the right balance of salt and aromatic spices. The fried beans with minced pork was cooked perfectly - the beans had a lovely "al dente" crispness. The fried potato strips were a pleasant surprise - a delicious balance of hot and sour and "al dente" texture. How was the service? In a word - perfect. We really liked our waitress. She was very friendly, helpful, attentive and had a lovely sense of humor - in both English and German. Serving of the Dim Sum was perfectly paced so we had time to savor and really enjoy each one before the next dish arrived at the table. We never felt rushed and never had to wait long for anything. There are some really good, authentic Chinese restaurants in Hamburg, but this tops them all. This is my new favorite!
