The menu of French cuisine under the direction of the talented chef is wonderful here. Come to this bbq to try perfectly cooked succulent steaks, hamburgers and entrecote. You can order tasty parfait. Good wine is among the best drinks to order. Great coffee will make your meal better and you'll certainly come back.
Most reviewers find the staff energetic. Service at Hippopotamus Steakhouse is something one can name nice. The fine decor and cozy ambiance let guests feel relaxed here. But google users haven't given this place a high rating.

Good advertisements online and promises about top quality meet and handling of such since 1968...? We ordered one of their best pieces of meet, entrecote XXL 330 grams, and as side orders pommes and BBQ sauce. We asked for grilled potato, but they offered baked or pommes. The waitress assured us that the pommes wasn't like McDonald's pommes, but they were most likely picked up from McDonald's as they were 100% identical to what is offered there. A real disappointment. The meet served were served raw, full of Tendons as if the meet were cut the wrong way, and hard to cut through even it were raw. Requested to get it done a bit better which they did, but still most of it were not possible to eat because of all the tendons etc. Paid around 25,-€ for a piece of very bad meet, perhaps 300 grams of meet, and some McDonald's fries. The service is a joke and the person in charge tried to make things up by lowering our bill from 113,-€ to 102,-€. To me it is of no matter to pay 25,-€ for a piece of meet, bit when u promise to be the best of what you offer and like to charge accordingly, i do also expect to get something for it. In general very disappointing, and cannot recommend anyone to spend their money or waste their time going there.
