Hobnob has always been one of our favorites for happy hour but yesterday was a bit of a disappointment. We were walking down 5th Ave and, when we noticed the sign in the window regarding an additional 20% off the bill during the month of May (to celebrate Mothers Day), decided to stop in. What we were unaware of was that this offer coincided with a price increase in all their happy hour prices which they raised 20% and more. We actually paid more with the 20% off than we did a few days prior. The $5 glass of house white wine is now $7.50. The pizza is now $17 (and while delicious, is pretty small for the price) and the burger was raised to $30 which doesn’t seem like a happy hour price at all even with the 20% off. While we understand restaurants need to occasionally raise their prices, but some of the new prices seem excessive compared to other options around town. And, as of this morning, the Hobnob website menu still lists all the old prices, so hopefully they will update this soon. Hob Nob is a fantastic restaurant. Atmosphere is chill and cool, the staff is really friendly and incredibly accomodating. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is excellent, we were a party of 7 and everyone raved about their meal. the special grouper with crab risotto OMG amazing! The drink specials are also incredible and dessert wow! Side note if you leave a message when they are not open someone will return your call as soon as they open. If I could give 10 stars I would Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
