These donuts are worth the trip. Our family lived right down the street from this donut shop about 15 years ago. We fell in love with their donuts at that time. We would go out of our way to occasionally get donuts there. It was a treat. The kids lived them and we did too. I would take these donuts to work and everyone loved then there as well. We moved to the western suburbs and still made the occasional trip to get these donuts as they were worth the trip. The quality has never dropped, and the service is great. Now we live about 5 hours away and I was in the area for work. Iwas only about 25 minutes away, so I had to get these donuts and take some home to the family. They traveled well on the 5 hour drive and everyone loved them. These donuts are a hit. I will be back. I tried this place for the first time yesterday. I feel like I made a mistake by not going earlier, because I think some of the better flavors probably sell out quicker. The girl working the counter was super friendly, and made great suggestions. My favorite donut that I tried was probably the cherry flavored one. The last time I had something similar was from Thornton's gas station and I really liked it. I was happy to find it again. The caramel apple was also delicious, it reminded me of an apple pie filing inside. It was not overly sweet either. The honey dip was pretty good. It's very similar to a plain, old-fashioned, just slightly different. I have not tried the sprinkled one yet, but I'm sure it's also good. The donut shop is nice, I believe they are open 24 hours and they are very reasonable. Four donuts only cost me $6.15. Great prices!!
