A number of visitors mark that you can try nicely cooked crab bruschetta, pizza salads and grilled tuna here. Tasty peanut butter pie, macarons and gâteau are the tastiest dishes. Here you can order good chardonnay, draft beer or martinis. It is nice to enjoy delicious root beer float, espresso or ice tea.

This pizzeria is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Most people say that the dishes have attractive prices. There is a lovely atmosphere and fancy decor at Honu. This place was given 2 Frommer's stars and marked as highly recommended for the quality, service, amenities, and special features.

Not Truthful, Rude and Wildly Expensive:Our group of 5 booked through OpenTable on our second last night in Maui. The prices on OpenTable were much lower (up to $10) than on the menu. When brought to the attention of the Manager, he was dismissive, rude, and not truthful. He said that: he has not heard such a complaint (even once) in over 10 years; the restaurant has "no relationship whatsoever with OpenTable;" the restaurant has no responsibility for prices posted on OpenTable (referred to OoenTable as though it were an obscure blog); and, that nobody has ever complained about Honu's prices. The manager could have handled our concerns in many ways, but he chose to be aggressive and not truthful. A real shame! The pricing at Honu is in fact very high even compared to many fine dining establishments in the best areas of Makena, Kehei, Lahaina, Ka'anapali, and Napili. Right from the appetizers to the mains and desserts, the prices are between 50%+ higher than peer establishments.I can not recommend Honu and strongly urge diners to move on - in almost direction- and eat better and cheaper.
Wow their seafood was so fresh and delicious. We ordered a dozen oysters and a couple of the oyster shooters. The regular oysters were fantastic! Their horseradish and old bay that they give you on the side were really good.We also got the octopus appetizer which was good but I wanted it to be a little crispier. For entrees we went with the Dungeness crab pizza and the mussels appetizer. Both were really good! I don't know how we had any room for dessert but we ordered it anyways. Decided on the turtle cheesecake which was delightful. Best part was the macadamia nut brittle and the freshness of the fruit it came with. The dessert was very rich but had a ton of flavor. They actually have their own pastry chef in house. We ended up getting seated outside close to the water which was nice and breezy. Also, they have complimentary valet outside which was great because the lots were packed. Overall, definitely check this place out and make sure to get the oysters and dessert!
Great view. Great food. Great service. A must in Lahaina.
