Had a wonderful dinner last night at Hungry Sumo! Perfect type of meal for a rainy night in Milwaukee. Loved the small and cozy vibe inside and the sushi bar was so cute as well! We started with the shiitake mushroom buns and they were a perfect appetizer! The mushrooms were crispy and the spicy sauce added the perfect kick. The buns were so perfect and soft! Would honestly just eat these next time! The ramen and salmon teriyaki were amazing too! The spicy miso broth was a bit spicy but not too bad with all the toppings! The pork was tender but the egg was a little cold. Besides that, the bowl was filling and felt like a warm hug! The tonkatsu ramen was so rich and creamy too! I would order this for myself next time instead of the spicy miso. Will definitely be back to try the sushi and get some more of those buns!

I've been searching for a great sushi option in Milwaukee and got takeout here recently. I reviewed other people's favs and got the Sweet Monster, Beauty & the Beast, and Lady Marmalade to try. The first 2 were underwhelming - just not my cup of tea. I want to be able to taste the fish, but I know other folks like saucy, crunchy, and unique combos. Loved Lady Marmalade though! The yellowtail roll was awesome - that and the spicy tuna were my fav. I will also get the crab rangoons again for sure. When I went inside to grab the food, the place was packed and is a cool vibe. Definitely check it out!

What can I say... The food is absolutely delicious and it's so fresh! The restaurant is quaint, but with big bold flavors. One of my favorite lunch spots! The service is outstanding.
