This is your typical Ihop. Nothing fancy. We each ordered breakfast at dinnertime. I got the strawberry and banana pancakes. They were really good and too much for me to eat all of it so yay, leftovers! Hubby got the same thing but with French toast. His looked really good too. I got a side of bacon and was shocked to see a sure was two pieces. What happened to a side being five or six pieces? Those days are gone I guess. Service was good. We got our food pretty fast. Restaurant wasn't too busy. I'd eat here again.
So heads up people! When eating breakfast there yesterday I found out a little IHOP secret. If you want real eggs from the shell you have to specify when you order them. For instance, I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. When the eggs got to the table they tasted really odd, and flat. After I finished eating the eggs, and put the rest of my breakfast in the to-go box for my dogs I asked the waitress about the oddly tasting eggs. Waitress stated that they use an egg product (scrambled or omelet), and that they don't use eggs in the shell unless YOU ASK FOR THEM!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?!? I'm paying $11.99 for a breakfast, and I have to specify that I actually want eggs in the shell for my egg breakfast?!?!?! All I can say is that IHOP needs to pinch pennies elsewhere, and not at the customer's expense. $11.99, and they still have to make even more money off my breakfast by using a bad egg substitute product. Long story short, I requested the kitchen remake my order of scrambled eggs with cheese. Those tasted okay. So now I guess we are all going to have to request a list of components in our meals to make sure they aren't engineering our food even more so they can increase their profit margin.
