ok. phil is like NO ONE ELSE on earth. he is VERY principled with vegan, organic, local. has his own grounded philosophies and reasons, reflects how he wants to make imipact in this world. NOW, i'm an omnivore and my people eat korean bbq all the time. but what i do appreciate so deeply is not just that he "is vegetarian" but that he is trying to revive the connection people have with the seasons, the climate, the earth, soil, like that. but how you enjoy isn't without music. it's another way of communicating. emotionally, soulfully, and more. like food. it's expression of love, like for our people always. and also something deeper and more everlasting, and what enriches the prospects of the future for those to come, 7 generations later, not just ourselves in this moment as we sip expensive cab and chew on local organic slow cooked sauteed collard greens and ponder the exact discordant harmony of an odd scale thru some exotic 14c instrument performed in front of our eyes by a world-famous performer that we'd never guess is so big because s/he's just sitting there in front of us, with soy sauce bottles and typical kitchen sink/stove top scene behind as a backdrop. what a cultural experience. i love everything about it. but best of all phil is truly eclectic innovative chef he just doesn't get on the "branding" "self marketing" band wagon but who else has EVER made soba with tahini with chips of Nara-zuke Japanese sweet pickle? Oh don't u be patenting this combination now! He made it first. All his dishes are MIND blowing. like forget milk & honey more like miso & whiskey. world should support THIS sort of "art" a genuine expression of what it looks like to embrace authentic grounded soulful connection through time and space (tho sounds like oximoron)

I have been to a handful of Dinner Concerts, and have never once been disappointed. On top of the high level of performance by famous and well respected musicians, the food was nothing short of incredible. I am not a vegan, but who cares. If food is good it is good, and let me tell you, you won't be disappointed. Worth every penny, every time.

Thank you for a vegan option, it is important for the animals. Right now there is an owner of a meat restaurant who is asking meat eaters to leave 1 star reviews for businesses like this. That is the only reason there are any 1 star reviews on here.
