Look, I'm not looking for any negative comments. I'm in the city at a restaurant /bar. Super clean and service is amazing. I used the restroom and there is  a female attendant. Handing out napkins offering gum as usual, not taking her job any less serious as she prob. Did 2 months ago. So respectful and caring. More worried about me than her own safety. Utmost respect for her and the bartenders who are going about their normal business as if there is not an epidemic outside the doors. Super clean/ Cautious and respectful of all patrons. Support your local peeps. We are all in the same boat at the end of the day. The bartender Adriana is the best. We have been here twice already and having her service us is the best, no matter when. She can run that bar alone if they let her. The music is good too.

Nice after work, happy hour bar. Good whiskey and gin for $5 during happy hour. Big place with plenty of seats. Wait staff is friendly and prompt, yet not annoyingly attentive. You can sit and talk without feeling rushed, which is rare in the theater discrict pre-theater. I only tried the wings, which were fair. Definitely one of my go-to bars in the neighborhood.

A terrible experience for someone with dietary restrictions. I'm on the Whole 30 (a paleo-ish program), so eating out is always a nuisance. Usually, restaurants are extremely helpful and forthcoming with how their food is prepared. I can always find something to make it work. Iron Bar & Lounge was not one of those places. I asked how the burger was cooked, requesting no dairy or grains (gluten). The waiter said it was prepared with buttermilk (?), so that was out. I asked how the grilled chicken was prepared - does the chef use any oils/sprays? A specific seasoning mix? The waiter did not have an answer. I decided against ordering anything, and just waiting as my friends ate their meals so I could go home to eat something on my own. No biggie. The Waiter returns and says, we can do the burger - just beef and salt and pepper. Great! A sigh of relief! So, I ask if I could have it over a salad - he seems confused. Then, I ask if I could have it with a fried egg. "No, we don't do burgers with fried eggs here." I asked, "So - you're telling me there are no eggs in the building, you don't use fried eggs in any other dishes - so you can't add that to my makeshift burger?" He replies, "No." I decide, again, to not order anything. Finally, as I'm walking out of the restaurant, I pass a table with a dish... WITH A FRIED EGG ON TOP. Apparently, the Hell's Kitchen Nachos COME WITH A FRIED EGG ON TOP. Why the Waiter couldn't fashion any sense in allowing me to have one on my salad/burger/concoction beats the hell out of me. I would never recommend this place to anyone after this frustrating experience. There are MUCH better places in Midtown to eat, especially before a show.
