Great experience, awesome staff and amazing food in a cozy little bar.
I have a mixed feeling when I visit the place. The place is fine and the service. It might be called a typical Icelandic soup but I need more some touch in it. Not bad since I gave a 3 star. But it is better to see it for yourself.
After a week of cramming ourselves into a camper van exploring the country, íslenski barinn was the perfect punctuation mark on an incredible trip. The food was hearty, the service was wonderful, and the beers weren’t too expensive (we’re from NYC, mind you, so our idea of fairly priced may not match with everyone’s idea). We ordered several different starters to share and each got a different meal.Tips:Puffin turns out to be amazing.Lamb Bacon is (possibly) better than regular bacon.Slow cooked lamb was delicious but maybe a tad dry on this occasion. Will return in the future!
