Awesome service!! Fast too.  My 2 favorites I enjoyed was the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Tuna Dynamite . I put  around it to remind me how awesome it was.  I definitely will go back, when I visit from Maui though.  The only thing I wish had was traditional Japanese music. Not just the a local radio station playing.  These days none of the Japanese restaurant play traditional Japanese music like how Shirokiya's used to play. Makes it all the more authentic with sipping on sake, or tea and with their Japanese interior.
So before I start off this review the first time I came here I had a great experience back in 2018. The waitress was super friendly and it was an all around good experience. Fast forward to tonight so my friends and I decided to come back cause the first time we came it was great. When we got inside it wasn't that busy, I waited a few minutes before being approached and then sat down. We were excited cause we know the food was good and our last experience was great. They had 2 servers a tall guy and a short woman. The guy took our orders and left a menu for us Incase we wanted to order more. We waited a good 10 minutes before the food started to come out and the woman took our other menu. Now don't get me wrong the food was great, but sadly that was the only good thing about this place. We went a good 15 minutes without them coming to check on us or refill our waters. They would only come by to quickly grab our empty plates and before we could ask a question they were gone. The place was soo loud compared to the last time, it was hard to talk. When all our plates were gone there was still one dish we were waiting for and waited a long time for it. I looked over where the kitchen was and saw them laughing and talking story. This is when I started to get upset, how long does it take to make a scallop nigiri? Honestly it shouldn't take 30 minutes. My one friend went to the bathroom and the guy waiter came and brought us the check. My friend and I looked at each other and he said "here's the check, oh unless you guys aren't finished yet." I was mentally screaming and said, "well I guess were done now" He walked away, I was soo upset at this point still being hungry and not even asked beforehand if we were ready for the check. I paid for the food and left. I'm never coming back here again after that, I'm sorry if you had a good experience there that's great but those two people who were serving us honestly gave us the feeling like they didn't care. I never ate at a place that forgot to give us one of the items we ordered, had horrible customer service and just brought the check out without even asking if we were finished. I'm sorry, I receive better customer service at McDonald's than I did here this evening. So to conclude my review the food is good, just don't expect them to bring you everything you ordered.
They had a limited menu for an Izakaya place. The taste acceptable and portion size wasn't as much as I expected. Luckily we came during a Happy Hour and didn't have to spend full price for some of the items we had ordered. I may have had too high of expectations. I wanted a filling dinner, but instead this was more like treats you would order when going to to drink with friends and coworkers after work.
