After you have seen West End, visit this restaurant. British cuisine under the direction of the popular chef is gorgeous here. It's worth visiting J. Sheekey because of good tempura oysters, dover sole and crab cakes. Spend a good time here and share perfectly cooked chocolate fondant, ice cream and christmas pudding with your friends. Delicious Sauvignon blanc, martinis or champagne are what can make you return to this place. Try the great espresso, thai tea or white tea served here.

A cosy atmosphere and beautiful interior make this spot so good. The terrific staff meets you at this restaurant all year round. Fabulous service is something that people highlight in their comments. Attractive prices are what you will pay for your meal. J. Sheekey is a Michelin selection and 2 red knife-and-fork symbols denote that this place is one of the Michelin best addresses as it provides optimum comfort.

Delicious filet of sole, very tasty smoked eel appetizer, lovely wines, attentive yet relaxed staff, a wonderful pre-theater meal in London's West End. This place is a cut above New York's Joe Allen with Michelin-Star quality food, historic and classy ambience and a dazzling seafood menu. Book well in advance for pre-theatre.
J Sheekey is legendary in London for good reason. The food, atmosphere and drinks are outstanding. This establishment is over 100 years old. Being in the heart of West End/Covent Garden area they constantly host famous actors-many of which have headshots hung all over the walls. Keeping in tradition, we came here after seeing Company. We did have an advance reservation, which I recommend since they do get very busy after and pre theatre. After arriving, we were seated very quickly at an adorable cozy corner table. We started with the butternut squash soup with wild mushroom and shaved parmesan and it was truly spectacular. Our entrees included pan-friend skate wing and fillet of plaice with sides of gem heart salad and brussel sprouts. All of the fish was delectable and bursting with flavor. Truly one of the best seafood dining experiences I have had. The gem heart salad and brussels were the perfect sides. I do recommend adding some to your order because the entrees are a bit on the small side. Overall, my only complaint here would be that the service was a bit lagging. Once the food dropped our waitress pretty much disappeared and no one came back to see if we wanted a second round, which we would have ordered. Since the food was so amazing i'll give a pass:) Be sure to check out this legendary spot while in London.

Have been wanting to dine here for years and finally stopped in on last visit to London. Loved it - staff was attentive, our table location was a quiet nook, and the food was really, really delicious. Only knock is the server's heavy Russian(?) accent - I couldn't understand most of what was said, which was disappointing. However, can't  wait to go back!
