The service was great, but the food was awful. No flavor, dry meat, nothing fresh, especially for the prices. The >20$ fajitas were mostly onions. My fish was super greasy. The rice/beans were bland/dry. My daughter said the only thing that had flavor was the sour cream. $118 ticket for awful food. This has been my goto place for a few decades now. The service is always courteous, professional and efficient. Margaritas are delicious, never too tart or limey. The mole's are rich and complex in flavor, something truly special I can't get anywhere else. It seems crazy giving everything thing 5 stars but they deserve it. The atmosphere: nice Mexican music playing in the background but it's never too loud, you can always have a pleasant conversation with the people you are with. There's a fireplaces in the middle. It's warm and welcoming. Occasionally the owner comes out and shakes people's hands, thanks them, pats them on the shoulder and calls them amigo Their have been some good people there that have passed over the years. It makes me happy to see the sign over Sergio's Bar. I know when I leave Jalapeño Loco I'm in better spirits than I arrived and I'm grateful.
