Surprisingly good and authentic Middle Eastern food that I would expect to get in Chicago, not in a strip mall in Sycamore. Great, friendly service, really good Shawarma, and big portions!

Best place around here for Middle Eastern food. It actually has two locations, with this in DeKalb not as good. Jamrah has another location in Sycamore. Here is basically the overflow one if you want to call it. This is the one they close more often. A good time is to come at lunch and save a bit. It has a deal on the platters. These are pretty big things. It's a buck less at lunch. We like to get the Vegetarian Platter. It's about $9 at regular price, so it's still not bad. This comes with 3 falafel pieces and your choice of sides. Choose from the listed choices. Get 3 items from among baba ghannouch, fries, hummus, rice, and salad. All good. The last time it came out kind of cold, so we just saved it for later. Check to see if it's open before going. It will be closed sometimes because of staffing. The other location is usually open though.
