Bijou 400 Broadhollow Rd. Melville, NY 11747 I always tip at least $5 to each the 3 security guards and $5 for each hostess as a thank you. Please they are always very nice and friendly to me. Let's get started shall we. Met a couple lovely ladies here a few week ago. Got a IM letting me know about DJ Scott for Thursday Night. At first I let her know I'm actually going to Eisenhower Park for Bangladeshi American Night on Friday night. Opus for dinner Saturday night and then to Bijou to dance off my meal.   She lets me know it will be a fun night so I'm like. Hell yeah. I'm in. I walk in tip the security fella Mike. They are 2 Mikes. As I walk across the stage to say hell to the DJ I hear my name loudly SIN SIN. It's a males voice so wasn't the ladies I was expecting. He's like Sin Sin I love your food reviews. I tell my mom how awesome you are. I'm so flattered. He then introduces me to his best friend. She too is lovely. He's a ball of positivity, great personality and energy as am I. We hit it off right away. All hugs and of course photos. I then walk over to tip Vinny also security. Took a couple videos and off to the dance floor I went. The ladies had left earlier but I had a blast as usual. Him and I danced a bit. I introduced him to my hubby. More small talk. He also let's me know about more places to go to. So grateful. He's definitely a fun and cool fella. Sorry I can't remember his name but IG me. .

Last time for us at this location was April 2019 BC (before Covid), when it was "Jewel," which we liked a lot. Good location in Melville on the south service road of the L.I.E. Just before you hit Route 110 (traveling east). Easy parking on a Saturday night, as it's on the ground floor of an office building. They have both indoor and outdoor dining (tables with umbrellas), a spacious indoor dining area, and  first glance tells you it's obviously an "upscale" (classy) restaurant. Service was great and accommodating. Bijou means jewel, but this is not a French restaurant, nor is it very American, like " Jewel" was - it's Asian and the first item placed on our table was not dinner rolls, but deep fried, crisp wonton noodles and "duck" sauce. A Tito's vodka was $16 and a glass of white Chardonnay wine was $25 (pricey). Initially, being that I'm not into sushi or spicy food, I struggled to find dishes on their dinner menu (also pricey), but turned out that my fretting was premature and misplaced.  While there were only three "Colossal Shrimp" served, they were served on black rice with finely chopped veggies in a delicious sauce, so I didn't go hungry. In looking at previously posted photos (hopefully mine appear below), I saw the same-named dish served with cauliflower, so the chef apparently modifies it over the years. The thin crispy fried potatoes were served with shredded cheese that might've been parmigiana and were great (even without dipping them into sauce).  There were four of us at the table, we all enjoyed it and someday hope to be back.
