An idyllic experience on the Maas! The right balance between history, romance and modern gastronomy. By bike from Venlo it takes some pedalling, but it is doable and a nice route to get there. You can enjoy a delicious dinner here, but the location is also suitable for larger groups. There were about 50 of us and we had a delicious drink and snack for a great price. Fantastic beer in super nice glasses, delicious snacks and finally fries with. Out of respect for the Capuchin brothers, who built the botanical garden that surrounds this location, I walked for a while, somewhat unsteadily, along the winding paths, and tried to read some Latin names for trees and plants. I soon came to the conclusion that I will come back here, for another attempt at reading Latin, but especially for the delicious food and beer in the right glasses, and just the fun. Great!
