I’ve been to many Michelin starred restaurants throughout the US, as well as many James Beard award winners. Joel Robuchon provided my wife and I with the best dining experience we have EVER had. The presentation and taste of all of the meals were incredible. The service was top notch. My ONLY complaint would be the location of the restaurant. You have to walk through the smoky casino floor of the MGM Grand to get to the entrance. Such an elegant restaurant deserves a stand alone building IMO. Nonetheless, incredible place!
Had the pleasure to dine here this week to celebrate a birthday. Oh, what an amazing experience! ATMOSPHERE: It may be located next to Ka and right off the casino floor, but it feels like a world away. Masterful soundproofing and design transports you to someplace quiet and elegant. FOOD: We opted for the 5-course tasting menu. Every single thing we enjoyed was amazingly prepared and thoughtfully presented. No surprise there, given the culinary chops of the restaurant's namesake and the talented team he created. But, what was surprising were the special little touches - the stuff-of-dreams bread cart, the whimsical selections of tiny desserts. DRINKS: Also no surprise here - the wine and beverage list offer many fantastic choices. I opted for a French 75 and a half bottle of excellent white wine. (My companion doesn't drink, so I was pleased to have that option.) You will not go thirsty here. SERVICE: Everyone there made you feel like an honored guest. They also celebrated my husband's birthday in such a lovely way. Service was exceptionally attentive without being cloying. We kept thanking them profusely for everything because we were so thrilled. I can not wait to return next time we visit.
Sooo here's the thing. This place deserves 5 starts, the experience is amazing. Of course service was amazing all the choices of bread, fancy butter... all the stuff that makes it sooooo expensive. Me and my girlfriend both did the 17 course meal, and we personally were not a fan of the food. Now I'm not saying the food was bad, but not the food I would personally order. Overall amazing experience, and that's the reason I paid for it. It takes a few hours for the course meal, FYI.
