When I searched online for a place to grab breakfast in Red Bank, Johnny's Pork Roll and Coffee too was one of the main places that came up over and over. Boy am I glad it did! Located in a small store front off the main drag of Broad Street, Johnny's is a shop with a counter and bar seating (something I adore any time I see it). The staff was super friendly and welcoming. While Pork Roll is the core of their sandwiches, they try to do more than just serve it with egg and cheese (though you absolutely should have the classic one upon your first visit). My girlfriend and I wound up getting two sandwiches: the "classic" with Pork Roll, egg and cheese and the "pulled" Pork Roll (so named because of the sauce and slaw included, not because it has pulled pork). The "pulled" Pork Roll sandwich was okay. I found it did not quite have the flavor punch I had hoped for, though the slaw was very good and I would happily have it on any sandwich. The "classic" sandwich however was off the chain! The sandwiches are made to order, and thanks to that this sandwich had (as they called it) the "egg gravy" of warm egg yolk dripping down the sides of the sandwich as I ate it. This made for a delicious sandwich and some awesome texture. To go with my sandwich I had a pour over coffee with a bit of milk. It was absolutely delicious. Rich with deep flavor I enjoyed every sip and was a tiny bit sad when I finished it. I definitely plan to get this again the next time I visit! Johnny's is awesome. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit!
