Sorry to see them go. They were a really good restaurant and very unique in Verona. Hope they find a way to land on their feet in a different location.

Jordandal has closed for the Winter due to the pandemic. May they be able to open again and serve all their local fans their delicious locally sourced meals. I'm sure is locals will rally if you open back up. I completely understand and will miss your inspired dishes.

Came here on the day I had to go back home to Los Angeles before I head to the airport for lunch. Boyfriend found this place on Yelp and reviews were decent so we both always like to try something new, so why not? Jordandal Cookhouse (JC) is located in a small plaza with a couple other stores. It looks pretty tiny from outside but once you walk in, its pretty spacious with a variety of  tables including bench style tables and bar tables. Menu is written on a board right when you walk in. You order first, pay and take a seat. Food is delivered to the table for your convenience. We asked for recommendations and I was recommended Chicken Quesadilla and my Boyfriend got a Chicago Melt. First things first, my quesadilla was weird. Honestly speaking, it wasnt good. Definitely not my style. I have YET to see a quesadilla with CARROTS inside. GROSS! I hate carrots -- whether they are raw or cooked -- I cannot stand. I hate the texure and more, the flavor. Carrot pieced in the quesadilla was very very odd and unappetizing. To add, chicken had this weird taste and flavor that I disliked. I may have been a little too sensitive to it but it really wasnt my cup of tea in any way. The food overall, tasted flavorless to me. JC conceptualizes in somewhat farm-to-table idea so the food may taste fresh and healthy or whatnot, but personally, I get their point but completely not my style. Boyfriend's lunch was by far better than mine but again, not special enough to recommend. He did enjoy it but I didnt like it. I was a bit upset that my last meal had to be so disappointing. What makes it worse is that for lunch, we spent almost $30. For those 2 items. I think that's a little too much for what we got. I think I could have been better off by going to Culvers or even Popeyes for $10 deal for 2. The guy who took the order was polite and helpful but food just did not cut it for me. It was good to try something new but I am certain that I wont be back again. Theres just way too many other options that can make me satisfied with less money spent.
