01/01/2022:  4.5 out of 5 - I came into Las Vegas from Portland, Oregon to celebrate the new year.  I was staying at the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas where I, my wife and her family was staying.  It was all for my mother-in-law. That being said, my wife and in-laws LOVE to eat.  It's basically a hobby for them.  So, they wanted to celebrate the new year with something familiar for dinner; Chinese food of course! We showed up to Joyful House Chinese Cuisine with a party of 7.  Obviously, we don't travel lightly, but surprisingly, the staff was able to accommodate us quickly. My brother-in-law ordered the food, more food, and more food.  He's pretty good at that when it come to Chinese food. The establishment was your typical Chinese dining.  However, the place was impressively clean and laid out quite well.  It wasn't as noisy as I thought it would have been, which was excellent as I prefer to have a great conversation without having to yell across the table, or worse, conversation through text (we've all been there). The staff were friendly and very professional.  Clean, attentive, quick and responsive without the intrusion.  Our drinking glasses were always full!  They worked quickly to serve the food, as well, quickly to remove the empty plates to make room for more plates. Now the food and drinks.  What can I say?  It was very tasty from start to finish.  Everything was plated very well, and every dish was fantastic. The only drawback I will point out is that it did cold inside Joyful House Chinese Cuisine.  Not sure if it was the layout or something else. All in all, at the end of any meal I often will ask, "Would you come back?"  My answer if given the opportunity?  Absolutely! If you ever get a chance, try it once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!
