Lovely juice spot, and great customer service! I went in not knowing what to get, and the kind girl let me try a sample. I ended up getting the Carib nights smoothie. It was delicious, uplifting, and refreshing. They definitely use good quality ingredients here. I highly recommend coming here! #supportlocalbuisnesses

Not a bad little juice and smoothie bar in a city where...well, I thought there would be more places like this. We both really wanted brunch smoothies today and with the 45-minute round trip walk, we probably burned off almost everything we drank. Both of us opted to build our own, and while we chose very different flavor combinations, it was odd that both of ours ended up tasting eerily similar. Don't get me wrong, it was good, and I drank it all, but my blueberry-banana-mango-almond milk-chocolate whey offered a generally underwhelming flavor profile. I got the creaminess from the almond milk and a little bit of the banana and blueberry, but that's about it. It also needed some ice - while well blended, it was kinda warm. So: good, not amazing. Oh - you better drink your smoothie quickly, because that paper straw turns to mush in 8 minutes flat. I am very curious about the juices, as that does seem to be the main attraction here. I'll be back to try one for sure. COVID stuff: Business as usual, just nowhere to sit inside, as you would expect these days.

I wanted to desperately try this place. I got the Om' Boy smoothie. This was NOT a smoothie. It tasted like someone chewed up all the ingredients and spit them out in my cup. It was disgusting. I chewed on nuts (nothing "smooth" about this "drink") and it was described as a "rich, chocolatey meal replacement". What chocolate? Where? I chewed on peanuts and mush. Not to mention that I was handed a "drink" in a plastic cup with a cardboard straw, sucked on that and got nothing bc the "smoothie" was too thick and chunky. (if you are trying to be environmentally conscience, don't pretend to be by doing it half-assed). Bc I got no immediate satisfaction from this drink, I tucked in my tote, took it to work and tried drinking it again. Nope. I removed the plastic lid and tried drinking it again. What entered my mouth was a slow, lava-moving glob of mashed nuts and other indistinguishable muck. I then took it home wanting to get my 8 dollars worth of smoothie, took a spoon and started eating it. What was to be breakfast turned out to be dinner.  I got through 3 spoonfuls and had to chuck the rest. Sorry, but I gave this place a try. I don't like places trying to be ivy league when they didn't even graduate high school. ***Update: I received a quick and professional response from Regine. Thank you Regine! In hindsight, I was quick to vent bc of being tired of trying new places in JC pretending they are up to par with Manhattan (and their price points), only to be sorely disappointed. I am willing to give you guys another try! I support local and want you to succeed. I'm giving Juice Basin 5 stars for customer service.***
