It is the greatest spot near Spilberk Castle. Vegetarian cuisine provides flavorsome meals at this restaurant. Here clients can delve deep into delicious dishes, and order good veggie burgers and perfectly cooked tofu. It might be good to enjoy delicious coffee.

Many people underline that the staff is professional at Junk Food Café. Google users granted the rating of 4.4 to this place.

I've always been curious about this one. My inner voice was secretly hoping to find a vegetarian nirvana that soothes my taste buds as much as it would work some magic with my cholesterol levels. The recommendations looked promising and so did the menu - a wide variety of veggie burgers are right up my alley and good for a comparison with their beefier counterparts. That's not to say, Junk Food Cafe doesn't offer a many more dishes such as pasta, pizza (those weren't on offer during my visit) and some of their own such as vegetable chilis or beetroot steaks!

Anyhow, I couldn't resist a burger. Sadly the tempeh burger would have taken too long as they had just prepared the tempeh patties so I went along with a broccoli burger. Supposedly a favourite among guests. To keep it level, I did order fries ;-)

The broccoli patty was tasty, but gosh was it dry! The whole burger came served as if I made a budget choice. The few leaves of salad and a sprinkle of yogurt didn't even save me from choking on the dry patty. Wouldn't order it again without the smoothie- though latter was good! Shame really, because a little more creativity other than plain ol' yogurt to make that burger somewhat juicier, a slightly thinner patty and you'd have a winner here.

What I didn't like at all was the hollow interior. Well, not that it is literally empty, but it's not exactly warm or welcoming either. Not my style then, though it was much better sitting outdoors on the small cafe tables along the sidewalk of a relatively quiet street. The service was also okay - nothing to bemoan or praise.

All in all, I am afraid it's not a place I'd revisit too soon. Uninspiring and had me gasping for a sip of fluid to finish up my meal. Maybe some other meals are better off and I'll make sure to revisit my review in future - might take a while though.
