Hole in the wall Taiwanese restaurant. Was introduced to the place by my co-workers Daniel and Aaron who are from Hong Kong and know what's what. I always enjoy the tea smoked duck, ala carte or in soup noodles. My usual order is stir fried rice noodle with pork, jong (so good!), green onion pancake, smoked duck, and dumplings! They make their own dumplings, served boiled or fried or spicy. You can also buy frozen dumplings ($28 for 60 pieces) to take home. I really want to try the vegetarian duck (made with yuba) but it is always sold out, so if it is available get it! Service was good. Lady was helpful explaining spice levels and brought us their house-made chili sauce that made my dad sweat. You serve yourself tea and water. One of my go to places when I am in Chinatown

This place is not much to look at, and it's kind of hard to find, but well worth the visit. The food here is excellent. The shrimo and pork wontons were juicy and meaty, and the broth clean and flavorful. Everything is reasonably priced. A great spot for a light lunch.

Taiwanese Food in Paradise? We definitely wanted to make a stop in Oahu’s Chinatown and a weekend breakfast presented the perfect opportunityRather than Chinese food like won ton or rice porridge that the SF Bay Area does fairly well, we decided to hit a cuisine not well represented in the Bay: Taiwanese breakfastOld K C Kitchen serves all the classics including salty and sweet soybean milk, fresh fried Chinese donuts and sticky rice fantuan that all hit the spotThe restaurant couple have also carved out a niche serving smoked duck and smoked chicken that is super popular and which accounts for much of their takeout business (besides the popular Chinese fried donuts that sold out) Smoked Duo on Rice $12.50 / Salty Soybean Milk Sticky $5 / Rice Roll $3 / Bread Stick $3 / Boiled Seasonal Vegetable $8Old K C Kitchen (Chinatown, HI)
