Almost on The Lake is an excellent restaurant located in Wilkesboro. With a wide variety of menu items ranging from steaks to seafood to salads, there is something for everyone. The food is fresh, cooked to order and delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The beef tips, sirloin tips, flounder and shrimp dishes are all excellent and highly recommended. The hush puppies, onion rings, and fried banana peppers are also delicious. The desserts, especially the blackberry cobbler, are amazing. The only downside is that the food can take a bit longer than expected because it is made to order. Overall, Almost on The Lake offers great food with friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Great food and great service. We dined outside. They also have good quality Almost On The Lake tie dye shirts.

I have been a loyal customer for about 3 years and tonight was the worst service I have ever had. They brought our drinks and took our order . Brought our food quickly then never returned for drink fill ups. We sat there for 25 minutes wanting to order deserts waitress never came back but served other people that were setting next to us multiple times we even set there with our hands up in the air. I could've understood if it was packed but there wasn't but four tables with customers. Very disappointed with the service. Won't being going back anytime soon.
