This is the ONLY key lime pie I have eaten for 20+ years. Always fresh and healthy. This place is truly a gem of the keys. Great service, fun merchandise to explore and of course delicious key lime pie!!

Losers. Big sticker in the window, people love us on Yelp! My wife & I zoom out of Miami and start heading down south. I see the "Key Lime Cafe" and I'm thinking we should stretch our legs and grab something quick. You see these tourists stops along the highway, sea shell trinkets that say "Key West", all to be had at the Key Lime Cafe. What all these places do sell is not ice cream but imagine the Key Lime pie middle without the crust. They take that, pour it into a mold, freeze it then dip it in chocolate. Sounds like Dove Bars gone wild right? We walk in and the counter person is finishing up. My wife walks up to the counter and asks, what's the difference between Key Lime Pie and Key Lime Cake? The woman gives her a sarcastic answer. Now, me knowing how to walk among Southerns, I get pissed at both ladies. How dare you answer sarcastically? Is the cake filled with Key Lime? Is it a frosting on a White Cake? Are there Key Lime Layers? Normal questions. My wife? Now she's snippy and I can see she's in the red zone. No need to get upset, I pay for my KL pop and we're out with the top down heading to the beach. Sassy Counter Lady? If you're ever in little Italy and ask what's a Tartufo or what's Spumoni? You'll get a pleasant answer and a smile. Its what we do in New York.
