Another terrific experience at Kimball's Kitchen.  Unquestionably the best restaurant on the Outer Banks.  I had chicken, she had scallops, friends had tuna and duck.  All terrific and wonderfully presented.  Dessert was a unique chocolate mousse marshmallow ice cream peanut creation never seen anywhere else.  Maitre D Dino and his staff were attentive as always.  Terrific meal all the way around.
Came here with with no reservation with my husband and was seated by the window with no issue as requested. Sunset view was beautiful, paired with steak and lobster tail. Everything was delicious, wished we had room for dessert.
Beware of their bait and switch on the wines! They hardly have any of the good wines that they tout on their menu. After four or five times of ordering a wine only to have the waiter come back and tell us they didn't have the wine he started bringing us wines but from the wrong year! When we noticed he brought us the wrong (subpar) year he said to not worry, he would honor the price of the year on the menu which is three times the price of the crap year he brought us. We tried to get other wines and this happened again (right wine but wrong, not award winning year) so it seems they might be doing this on purpose. The food is fantastic and the ambiance is really nice too but beware of paying premium award winning wine price for the crappy version of that wine.
