Kødbyens Fiskebar is a seafood establishment situated in Copenhagen's meatpacking district. The interior design of this fine dining spot is industrial and trendy, with an energetic and lively atmosphere. The restaurant offers an eclectic mix of raw fish, beetroot, and fish and chips as starters, with mains ranging from lobster to baked hake. The menu also features oysters, scallops, blue mussels, turbot, halibut, and cod tail, all cooked to perfection. The wine selection is impressive, and the cocktails are expertly crafted, with standout options like the Flemming Collins and the house-made drinks. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food and service justifies it. Special features include outdoor seating and a bar area. Overall, Kødbyens Fiskebar is a must-visit for seafood lovers looking for a unique dining experience in Copenhagen.

Michelin Guide rating

Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking.
Simple standard.

This buzzy, industrial-style restaurant is set – somewhat incongruously – in a former butcher’s shop in the old meatpacking district, and was one of the pioneers in transforming the area into a leisure destination. Menus feature freshly prepared seafood dishes which are based around the latest catch, with oysters being a speciality. The terrace is a popular spot come summer. More info

From the outside it doesn't look like much, but inside had such a vibe (packed even on a Monday night) and the food was phenomenal. Quite expensive but would definitely say its worth it.

We went to Kødbyens Fiskebar for dinner on Saturday evening. The restaurant is located in the former slaughterhouse area, I must say very suggestive. Inside the environment is truly very particular, shiny white tiles, steel furniture and black marble tables. Nordic design which however made us feel warmly welcomed. We took the mussels, the hake and a raw starter. The hake, cooked to perfection and really good (I recommend) is served with a side of very particular but very good artichoke salad, it convinced us. The mussels were very tasty and of large quantity, I recommend sharing them between two. Obviously we know that the cost is decidedly high, but I must say that the dishes command respect and are prices that in the CPH norm are in line with the rest. As for wine, two lists: an easy one with prices that are not exaggerated (€50) and then there are some interesting labels including some Italian ones, but truly unapproachable. The service is professional, nice and kind. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: kr 500–600 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
