We decided to stop here because of beautiful building and ordered coffee with cheesecake and carrot cake. The service was slower than we expected and we proactively ordered at the entrance and got all meal in 15 min. The building is very beautiful and interesting inside and outside.Free WiFi and paid parking.
The restaurant offers beautiful views, and not much else. My husband and I came in and both had the chefs choice surprise 4 course dinner. What a huge disappointment. First course was arctic char that only had two small bites of fish, the second course was literally a bowl of tomatoes. The main course was ok although the lamb was overcooked. The last course was dessert and when it was brought to us, the waiter didn't even tell us what it was, and we were not asked if we wanted anything more to drink. We felt rushed even though the place was empty. The service was awful and the food was expensive and not worth it. I live in Reykjavik and know many places are expensive, but this was a joke.
My wife and I stopped in for coffee and dessert. No one was in the place which should have been a sign. We ordered tea, coffee, carrot cake and what they called brown cake. The carrot cake was very sweet. The brown cake was good. My wife enjoyed her tea, the coffee was ok but served in a cup made for children. The worst part of the visit was the service.
